Несмотря на попытку запрета зрители в Киеве увидели "Шахту №8"

24 марта на фестивале DOCUDAYS UA произошло неординарное событие - за несколько часов до презентации фильма "Шахта № 8" украинские сопродюсеры запретили его для показа. Мотивация отказа привела фестивальную публику в шоковое состояние.

Однако, несмотря на запрет, зрители все же увидели фильм. Устроители отдали зал в распоряжение режиссера для проведения встречи со зрителями, вне рамок фестиваля. Атрибутика DOCUDAYS на это время была из зала убрана. Зрительская реакция была столь активна, что после окончания просмотра встреча перекочевала в фойе и продолжалась там значительное время. Фильм не оставил никого равнодушным.
Событие имело широкий резонанс в украинских СМИ.

Special Mention on International WATCH DOCS Film Festival.

On December 18, the 11^th International WATCH DOCS Film Festival. Human Rights in Film came to an end. During ten days of the festival, one of the two biggest human rights film events in the world, the audience watched almost 90 movies, which combined the concern for human beings with the art of filmmaking.

The Jury gave a Special Mention to “Pit No. 8”, a film about three Ukrainian children, whose childhood is slipping away before our eyes, but in whom we still see the spirit of resilience.

The Silver Nanook goes to "Pit No 8"

"Pit No 8" by Marianna Kaat won the Silver Nanook at 2011 International Documentary Film Festival “Flahertiana” in the nomination Best Feature Documentary.

“Flahertiana” festival has been held in the Russian Siberian city of Perm since 1995 and it is the biggest documentary festival in Russia. It was named after noted US filmmaker Robert Flaherty, one of the founders and classics of the world documentary cinema.

В Стамбуле состоялся 14-й международный кинофестиваль "1001 документальный фильм"

Фильм "Шахта № 8" участвовал в кинофестивале в Стамбуле, где было представлено 70 документальных фильмов.

Dokfilmile Lobotoomia auhind Arsenalsist

Moodunud nadalavahetusel loppenud Riia rahvusvahelisel filmifoorumil „Arsenals“ parimaks dokumentaalfilmiks Balti voistlusprogrammis tunnistati Juri Hastsevatski film „Lobotoomia“ (tootja Marianna Kaat/Baltic Film Production).

Avatud Eesti Fondi ja Eesti Filmi Sihtasutuse kaastoel valminud film paljastab, milliste votetega on Vene meedia 20 aasta valtel ohutanud konflikti Venemaa ja Gruusia vahel.
Varem on filmi rezissoor Juri Hastsevatski palvinud tunnustust mitmete Valgevene diktatuurireziimist konelevate filmide eest, millest tuntuim samuti Eestis toodetud „Kalinovski valjak“ (2007).
